Green Bay Packers Late Season Stretch Could Define 2024
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers are expected to take another step forward during the 2024 season. After a surprising 2023, which included a Wild Card berth and one playoff win, some people are expecting the Packers to be contenders in the NFC.

For that to happen, they need Jordan Love to keep playing at a high level as he showed at the end of the 2023 campaign. Still, potentially the youngest team in the NFL, the playoff experience gained last season should make them even more dangerous.

Oddsmakers have set Green Bay’s win total for the season at 9.5, so they are expected to battle for a playoff spot and potentially an NFC North title. For that to happen, there is one stretch of the season that will define 2024 for the Packers.

With the NFL regular season schedule being released, teams now know when they will be playing their opponents, which was set months ago. For the Green Bay Packers, their stretch from Thanksgiving through Christmas will reveal their fate.

In Week 12, they will host the San Francisco 49ers, who eliminated them in a competitive Divisional Round matchup in last season’s playoffs. Four days later, they will host the Miami Dolphins on Thanksgiving night.

In Week 14, a massive divisional game against the Detroit Lions, who they are expected to be competing against near the top of the NFC North, will commence. That will also be on Thursday Night Football.

12 days, three games against potential contenders in the NFL. That gauntlet could make or break the campaign for the Green Bay Packers. Things don’t get easier in Weeks 15 and 16, as they will play on Sunday Night Football at the Seattle Seahawks and then home against the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.

Their regular season will end with divisional games against the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears. That will be a challenging set of games to navigate, but it will be a good measuring stick for the Green Bay Packers to see if they are true contenders.
